There are a few thing particular to Austria that you should consider when purchasing a stroller/pushchair:
* Before you go to the store remember to measure the size of your lift and front door and try to buy one that will fit both!
* If you will be using public transport remember to take in to account the narrow and steep access to the old style trams.
* Your stroller/pushchair will need sturdy wheels to cope with the snow & ice in the winter but be light enough to get on and off the old style trams.
In addition to the large stores mentioned above there are some shops that specialise in strollers and prams (Kinderwagen) including:
Kinderwagen Sedlak, Schlachthausgasse 13, 3rd District. Very competitve prices on new strolllers and a good selection of barely used one.
Kinderwagendiskont, Hendlgasse 23, 10th District.
Gutwein, Klosterneubergerstrasse 90, 20th District.
