The big chain shops such as Humanic and Stiefelkönig have good kids shoes and usually good help in fitting them. You can check the secondhand shops as well for shoes, especially rain and snow boots which tend to be in good shape.

Secondhand Clothing -
There are a number of second hand stores that carry children's clothing. Look under “Second–Hand-Shops” in the Yellow Pages. The stores specialising in baby and children clothes mention "Babyausstattungen" and "Kinder."

Flea Markets
The Vienna Babies Club organises a biannual Flea Market where members and non-members can rent a table and sell their used baby and children clothing, equipment, furniture, toys and books. Members also receive weekly E-mail notices where it is possible to post for sale and wanted items. There are also biannual Flea Markets at the American International School and the Vienna International School, as well as a local Kinder Flohmarkt. All these markets are great for toys and accessories, as well as kids clothes.

You can't miss this excellent store, located on the Graben, as it has a large bear outside. It is a large shop carrying toys of all sorts for all ages. It is not on the ground floor and has a fairly small lift which you have to climb four stairs to reach so not very pushchair friendly.

This Spanish-owned company sells a great range of its own brand toys for all ages. Very similar to the British-based Early Learning Centre.

The most known shop with only books in English available. There is a large children's section catering to babies to teenagers. If they don't have something in stock they can usually order it for you.

TwinkleBabyShop (Web site in English and German) is based in Kitzbuhel and supplies baby and pregnancy goods from around the world at Austrian postage rates.

Seasonal Bargains
