Musical Munchkins

Music Together
This is a music and movement approach to early childhood music development. From birth through to four years old. Twelve children and their parents meet weekly for 50 minutes during a ten-week semester to experience new songs, chants, movement activities and instrumental jam sessions. Led by a teacher with early childhood and music skills who received training at the Center for Music and Young Children (CMYC) in Princeton, New Jersey.
Little Piano School
Is a music program that teaches very young children, from eighteen months through preparation for private lessons. The concept of the program is, that every child is born with intrinsic music concepts. The sooner that those natural gifts are accessed the better. Lessons are 30 minutes each. SANI
SANI, located in the 3rd district, offer a number of groups and courses which mothers (or fathers) and baby/toddler can attend. The majority are conducted in German but they also offer an activity group and music playgroup which are in English.
English Musical Workshop
For babies and toddlers age 0-6 accompanied by an adult. Separate groups for age 0-18 month, 18 months to 3 years and age 3-6. Mrs. Polgar had the privilege to live and work in Oxford for a long time and while there began to pass on her musical knowledge and experience to parents and children in a special way. This is how the idea of founding and creating the "Musical Workshop" was born. Other classes include "Hungarian Folk Songs for Babies and Toddlers based on the tradition of Z. Kodaly" and individual violin courses for children age 4 and up based on the Colourstrings method.

Ballettzentrum
Ballet for all ages in German/English – The Ballettzentrum in the 3rd District is run by a VBC member (Lynsey Thurgar) and offers ballet for 3-70 year olds on weekdays and musical/tap/streetdance workshops for kids on weekends. Balletschule Hietzing
Ballet classes offered for all ages and abilities, primarily in German. Call 876 5247 or visit the office at Fasholdgasse 3, 13th District.
Gymnastics (Turnenverin)
There are a number of Turnenverin (Gymnastics Clubs) throughout the city, many of them run Mother & Child classes for 2-4 year olds (and progressive classes for older children). AIS Saturday Sports
The American International School runs Saturday afternoon sports courses which are open to anyone (not just AIS pupils), you register on-line and pay the fee at the first class. They normally hold a soccer course in the autumn semester and basketball in the spring semeter. Classes are open to children age 4 years and over.
